This area is responsible for the management and exploitation of the collective rights of the professional competition as well as the design and development of the overall plan for its commercial exploitation. While individual rights belong to each one of the clubs, the LFP coordinates with the clubs the activation and eventual exploitation of the following rights of the two different divisions of professional football in Spain: collective image of the players, hospitality and ticketing, non-collective promotion and advertising.
It is also responsible for the creation and exploitation of different assets that contribute to the knowledge and understanding of the competition through promotions with third parties, licensing agreements, management of advertising space in stadiums and spaces contracted by third parties during the broadcast of the games, among others.
Since 2007, BBVA and the LFP, Liga de Fútbol Profesional (Professional Football League) have had a strategic agreement to sponsor Spanish football worldwide. As a result of this agreement, the First Division football league is now called the Liga BBVA, while the Second Division is known as the Liga Adelante.
With this agreement, BBVA combines the global concept of "La Liga que mueve al mundo"(The League that moves the world) with the local and aspirational concept of the Second Division. This is all leveraged by an innovative vision for sports sponsorship. BBVA is committed to all the LFP teams, supporting the sport and the values it represents as well as assuring visibility and presence at all events related to professional football in Spain.
Football represents the universal values of effort, teamwork, achievement and fair play, which are in perfect alignment with the values endorsed by BBVA, forming part of its corporate vision: 'BBVA, working towards a better future for people.' .
The agreement represents an innovative and open sponsorship model that offers opportunities for communication, promotion and marketing as well as corporate responsibility activities.
Burger King
LFP Supplier
Since the 2010-2011 season, Burger King has been an official supplier of the Liga BBVA and the Liga Adelante, as a result of a three-season agreement.
This agreement places Burger King alongside the elite of the King of all sports and grants the brand direct and permanent presence in Spain’s most important sports competition. La Liga reaches millions of fans and Burger King wishes to share the greatest moments and emotions of football with them. The agreement also responds to the needs and the promotional vocation of the brand. Burger King benefits from unique promotions and cost efficient and innovative advertising and media channels.
Burger King is a global brand, in addition to being one of the leading restaurant companies worldwide, which pursues an ambitious marketing activation policy through its restaurants as well as new technologies and always in the context of encouraging the values of sports.
Mahou
LFP Supplier
Since the 2007-2008 season, Mahou has been an official supplier of the Liga BBVA and the Liga Adelante, through an agreement that was renewed in 2010.
This agreement reinforces the brand's commitment to support sports in general and especially football, leveraging the opportunity provided by a competition that lasts practically all year long and which, even between seasons, generates tremendous expectation and acts as an effective vehicle to engage consumers.
Professional football is an essential part of people's lives and through this agreement, Mahou forms part of this environment by using football as an ideal platform to create emotional links with the brand through image campaigns and different promotional actions aimed at different target audiences.

Spain’s LFP backs PAF
PAF receives official backing from Spain’s LFP (Spanish Football Association) for the 2012-2013 season. .
Paf is a market-oriented and highly innovative company in its sector, encouraging qualitative dialogue at all times with its customers. Paf has been operating in the betting market for thirteen years and is an industry pioneer in the development of online betting. It is currently present in Finland, Sweden, Estonia and Spain, where the company was set up in 2008. Paf currently offers betting, poker and casino games online in the Spanish market.
