Introduction |  Infrastructures |  Marketing and Commercial Development

This area is responsible for the management and exploitation of the collective rights of the professional competition as well as the design and development of the overall plan for its commercial exploitation. While individual rights belong to each one of the clubs, the LFP coordinates with the clubs the activation and eventual exploitation of the following rights of the two different divisions of professional football in Spain: collective image of the players, hospitality and ticketing, non-collective promotion and advertising.

It is also responsible for the creation and exploitation of different assets that contribute to the knowledge and understanding of the competition through promotions with third parties, licensing agreements, management of advertising space in stadiums and spaces contracted by third parties during the broadcast of the games, among others.

Title Sponsor

Since 2007, BBVA and the LFP, Liga de Fútbol Profesional (Professional Football League) have had a strategic agreement to sponsor Spanish football worldwide. As a result of this agreement, the First Division football league is now called the Liga BBVA, while the Second Division is known as the Liga Adelante.

With this agreement, BBVA combines the global concept of "La Liga que mueve al mundo"(The League that moves the world) with the local and aspirational concept of the Second Division. This is all leveraged by an innovative vision for sports sponsorship. BBVA is committed to all the LFP teams, supporting the sport and the values it represents as well as assuring visibility and presence at all events related to professional football in Spain.

Football represents the universal values of effort, teamwork, achievement and fair play, which are in perfect alignment with the values endorsed by BBVA, forming part of its corporate vision: 'BBVA, working towards a better future for people.' .
The agreement represents an innovative and open sponsorship model that offers opportunities for communication, promotion and marketing as well as corporate responsibility activities.
